GenLab Venture Studios is an AI and DeepTech venture studio and investment firm focused on building and investing in companies at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, DeepTech, Trust & Security, and Critical Infrastructure. Founded in 2023 and headquartered in San Francisco at DG717 (Digital Garage's incubation center), GenLab operates a unique hybrid model where the majority of investment capital goes into internal studio companies that leverage tools and technologies from venture portfolio partners. The organization specializes in rapidly developing and launching innovative solutions through a customer-centric approach, involving customers and partners from day one to ensure market demand and product-market fit. GenLab is a founding member of the Coalition for Secure AI alongside Amazon, Anthropic, Microsoft, NVIDIA, OpenAI, and other tech leaders. The studio operates multiple specialized venture studios including a dedicated AI Venture Studio, DeepTech Venture Studio, Cybersecurity Venture Studio (in partnership with DCSO), and an Energy Storage Venture Studio.
