Leap Venture Studio & Academy is the world's first and largest pet care-specific startup accelerator, launched in 2018 as a partnership between Mars Petcare and Michelson Found Animals Foundation, supported by R/GA Ventures. The program is dedicated to empowering pet care entrepreneurs to achieve their goals in the rapidly growing $100+ billion global pet care industry. The Studio offers a highly competitive 12-week accelerator program for 6-8 seed-stage pet care startups per cohort, providing $200,000 in venture capital funding, customized programming, mentorship from industry experts, and access to world-class resources. The program operates in a hybrid format with 2 weeks in-person and 10 weeks virtual, culminating in a Demo Day where companies pitch to investors and industry leaders. Additionally, the Leap Venture Academy offers pre-accelerator programs including fellowship programs, pitch competitions, and showcases for earlier-stage companies.
