AlleyCorp is a New York-based venture studio and early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2007 by serial entrepreneur Kevin Ryan. The organization operates a unique dual model, both incubating new companies from the ground up and investing in early-stage startups across multiple sectors. As a venture studio, AlleyCorp originates ideas, hires founding teams, provides initial funding, launches companies, and maintains integral leadership throughout the company's lifecycle. As one of the most active early-stage investors in New York, AlleyCorp deploys approximately $100 million annually across pre-seed, seed, and Series A rounds. The firm is unconstrained by industry and invests across enterprise and consumer technology, healthcare, robotics, deep tech, and economic infrastructure sectors. AlleyCorp has founded some of New York's most iconic tech companies including MongoDB (NASDAQ: MDB), Business Insider, Gilt Groupe, and Zola. Portfolio companies have collectively raised over $2 billion in venture capital and employ thousands across NYC and beyond. In 2024, AlleyCorp raised its first external fund of $250 million, marking a strategic evolution from a family office structure to a traditional venture capital model with select limited partners.
