Kairos HQ is a venture studio that builds and invests in companies focused on making life simpler and more affordable for the current generation. Founded in 2008 as The Kairos Society by Ankur Jain while at Wharton Business School, it began as a talent incubator for young entrepreneurs. In 2017, the organization re-launched as Kairos HQ, a venture studio building and investing in companies aligned with its focus areas of affordable housing and personal healthcare. Kairos identifies the toughest problems facing everyday people—including student debt, affordable housing, childcare, work retention, and retirement—and builds products to solve them. The firm takes a unique approach by creating companies from the ground up rather than just investing in existing startups, focusing on real-world problems rather than pitch decks. Kairos portfolio companies collectively have achieved over $2.5 billion in market capitalization (as of earlier reports), with flagship company Bilt Rewards now valued at $10.75 billion as of July 2025.
