Highline Beta is a hybrid corporate venture studio and venture capital firm founded in 2016 in Toronto, Canada by Marcus Daniels and Ben Yoskovitz. The organization evolves the traditional management consulting model by putting innovation into action, not just strategy. Highline Beta works with executives at large corporations to build new ventures both inside and outside of their organizations to unlock new growth areas. The firm combines early-stage pre-seed investing with hands-on venture building, co-creating startups with leading corporations and top-tier founders. Since inception, Highline Beta has built and launched ventures through its studio model and made standalone seed investments, working with global enterprises including RBC, Colgate-Palmolive, American Family Insurance, Intuit, AB InBev, Green Shield Canada, Avery Dennison, and Morneau Shepell. The organization operates with a startup mentality and execution capabilities, with a team of 30+ new venture developers including strategic designers, engineers, product managers, marketing and growth professionals, Executives-In-Residence, and Founders-In-Residence. Highline Beta's approach focuses on two broad themes: Financial Wellbeing for All and Creating Sustainable and Resilient Operations. The firm is now evolving into HLB 3.0 with a focus on vertical venture studios, including dedicated studios in DentalTech and Ethereum (Highline Beta ETH). Highline Beta Fund 1 maintains an active portfolio with 81% of portfolio companies raising $1M+ in follow-on funding, 1 successful exit, and zero failures as of 2025.
