Haskè Ventures is a pioneering venture studio based in Dakar, Senegal, focused on building and co-creating scalable, sustainable, and profitable businesses in Francophone West Africa from ideation to Series A financing. Founded to address the youth unemployment challenge in West Africa, Haskè operates as an investor-operator, taking an active role in day-to-day operations and management of ventures rather than just providing capital. The studio employs a stage-gates approach to de-risking, allowing them to quickly identify and eliminate unviable ideas while allocating resources to more promising concepts. Their mission centers on reducing the risk of failure in early-stage startup creation by bridging the gap between the idea stage and growth stage. Haskè focuses on solving development challenges sustainably, targeting populations living on less than $2/day with ventures addressing climate action, financial inclusion, healthcare, agriculture, and digital transformation. As part of the Haskè Group, they benefit from synergies with their consulting arm (Haskè Conseil) and ecosystem-building arm (Ignite.E), providing access to policymakers, research capabilities, and entrepreneur pipelines. Their approach emphasizes locally-led solutions, R&D partnerships with universities, and policy integration to create systemic impact across Francophone Africa.
